Bob Fritchie and I departed Norman, OK at 9:00 AM with an initial target of Snyder, TX.
10:18 AM supercell raging through our afternoon target area west of Snyder. This cell produced an outflow boundary that was the focus for each of the storms we observed later in the day.

2:34 PM tornado south of Union, TX.

Our last view of the Union, TX tornado at 2:42 PM.

 

2:50 PM weak tornado enters the south side of Snyder, TX.
Tornado without condensation causes a powerflash.

Bob's measured a 77-mph wind gust about 5-miles west of Snyder as I called the report into the NWS.

5:19 PM we observed the final stage of a tornado near Patricia, TX.
